Today Courtney, Stephine, Shauna, and I went to the Penn Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.  It was a long trip even though we were not planning on it to be because we got lost walking through Penn’s enormous campus trying to find the museum.  But after we eventually found it we were so glad because it was really fascinating.  When we first walked in there was a huge pond full of beautiful fish that were really large.  Then as we entered the museum we realized we had come on a day of a school field trip, and were immediately distracted by the many children running around.  We did not want to stay long because of the amount of people, so we headed over to the sphinx exhibit which i loved because ancient Egypt really interests me.  As we looked through the exhibit i realized that everything in it had drawings and markings on it.  It reminded me that art and design is not just a modern hobby, but one that has dated back to the beginning of time, and it was so neat to see all of the ancient art that has be preserved on these statues and artifacts.  Then we headed over the mummy section and saw all of the tombs that the mummies had been encased in.  They were beautifully sculpted and so interesting to look at.  Then we journeyed back to Drexel, this time taking a shorter route and not getting lost.
